The Afghan Refugee Community Center no longer provides in-house complete funeral services. Mission Funeral Home (FD#1710) is the Abu Bakr Al Siddiq Mosque's appointed funeral home for our members' funeral services. Mission Funeral Home provides a full range of funeral services, including burials in accordance with Islamic traditions and international body shipment.

Our funeral services offered via Mission Funeral Home include:

  • Removing the deceased's body from the place of death and transporting it to Mission Funeral Home's facility
  • Washing and shrouding of the body by qualified personnel (Taghseel)
  • Providing a casket and the body shroud article (kafan) (Takfeen)
  • Transporting casketed remains to the determined place of Janazah prayer.
  • Transporting the body from the Janazah prayer to the cemetery
  • Shipment of the deceased's body abroad
  • Handling all necessary final paperwork
  • Obtaining permits and a death certificate
